If 10 mol of O2 and 40mol of N2 present in a container find P(O2) and P(N2) (total pressure is 20 atm) please can some one explain​

P(O2) = 4 atm , P(NO2) = 16 atm

Explanation:

P(O2) = Mole fraction of O2 × Total pressure

= 10/(10+40) × 20

= 10/50 × 20

= 200/50 = 4

P(NO2) = Mole fraction of NO2 × Total pressure

= 40/50 × 20

= 800/50 = 16
