when the number of person decreases then the number of days the food last increases.

Hence, it is a case of inverse variation

x1 y1=x2 y2

100× 24=80× y2


80 × y2=100×24

y2 = (100 × 24)/80

y2= 10 × 3 = 30


y2=30 days

Hence, the food will last for 30 days.
