do you not think, 108 = 8q + r is like as

Dividend = divisor × quotient + remainder.

first of all, 108 is divided by 8.

hence, if 108 is divided by 8, we get remainder 4 and quotient 13.

hence, it can be written as, 108 = 8(13) + 4

on comparing, we get, q = 13 and r = 4
