Given :- If 10kg of sugar costing ₹15/kg and 20 kg of salt costing ₹10/kg are mixed ,find the average cost of mixture in ₹ per kilogram ?

Answer :-

we have,

→ cost of sugar = Rs.15/kg

so,

→ cost of 10 kg of sugar = 15 * 10 = Rs.150

and,

→ cost of salt = Rs.10/kg

so,

→ cost of 20 kg of sugar = 10 * 20 = Rs.200

then,

→ Total cost of mixture = 150 + 200 = Rs.350

and,

→ Total mixture = 10 + 20 = 30kg .

therefore,

→ Average cost of mixture = Total cost / Total mixture = 350/30 = Rs.(35/3) / kg .
