given that: 10x²-6xy+y²-4x+4=0

by separating 10x² into two part

  • x²+9x²-6xy+y²-4x+4=0

by rearranging this

  • x²-4x+4+9x²-6xy+y²=0

this equation become perfect square of two part

  • (x-2)²+(3x-y)²=0

⇒x-2=0 or 3x-y=0

⇒x=2 and y=6

by putting this value into desired function

(x+2y)=2+2*6

x+2y=14  ans.
