If (12,16, x) is a pythagorean triplet hence
x²=16²+12²
x²=256+144
x²=400
x=20...taking square root..

therefore the value of x is 20

hope this works for you.

Solution:-

Given:-

(12, 16 and x) is a pythagorean Triplet.

To Find :-

x = ?

Find:-

Let "16" be the Middle Term and "x" be the Largest Term.

Then, By Pythagoras Theorem,

=) x² = 12² + 16²

=) x² = 144 + 256

=) x² = 400

=) x = √(400)

=) x = 20.

Hence,

If (12,16, x) is a pythagorean triplet then x is equal to 20.
