8 dozen of apples = 96 apples
out of which 12.5% are rotten so
12.5/100 × 96 = 12
so 96 - 12 = 84

1 dozen = 12 apple
8 dozen = 12 * 8 = 96 apples.

therefore here we the total number of apples is 96.........out of which 12.5% are rotten.

soo let's take 96 apple as 100%
then...
number of rotten apple
= 12.5% of 96
= (125 / 10)% of 96

125
------------- * 96
10 * 100

= 12

so here we got NUMBER of rotten apple is 96

then the number of good apple
= total number of apples - number of rotten apple

= 96 - 12
= 84

pragun7: the no of rotten apples should be 12
