If 12 men or 15 women can finish a piece of work in 66 days, how long will 24 men and 3 women take to

finish the work ?

|| ✰✰ ANSWER ✰✰ ||

Given that, 12 men or 15 women can finish a piece of work in 66 days,

So, we can say that :-

12 M = 15 W

→ M/W = 15/12

→ M/W = 5/4

So, Efficiency of Men and Women is 5 and 4 unit of work per day .

So, Total work = (12 * 5 * 66) units.

Now, if 24 M + 3W do, They will do , per day = 24 * 5 + 3 * 4 = 120 + 12 = 132 unit of work .

Time taken by Them to Complete whole work = (12*5*66)/132 = 30 days..

Hence, 24 men and 3 women take 30 days to finish the work..

As mentioned in the question that 12 men or 15 women can finish a piece of work in 66 days so, this implies that:

12M = 15W

M/W = 15/12

= M/W = 5/4

Note:- Here, M = Men and W = Women.

So, they do 5/ 4 amount of work per day.

Therefore Total work = [ 12 × 5 × 66 ] units.

If 24 Men and 3 Women do the work, then the work done by them per day is:

24 × 5 + 3 × 4

= 120 + 12

= 132 units.

Now inorder to calculate the time taken by them to complete the work, we have:

(12 × 5 × 66) / 132

=30 Days

Therefore, 24 Men and 3 Women take 30 days to complete the work.
