Answer:

(i) 13x-19y=28.

(ii) 19x-13y=46

Subtracting equation (i) from equation (ii),

19x-13y=46

(-) 13x-19y=28

6x+ 6y = 18

Therefore, 6(x+y)=18. => x+y=18/6=3

=>x=3-y---------(iii)

Taking x=3-y from eq. (iii) in eq. (i)

=>13x-19y=28

=> 13(3-y) -19y = 28

=> 39-13y= 28

=> 13y=39-28=11

=>y=11/13.

Therefore, taking y=11/13 in eq. (ii)

=> 19x-13y= 46

=> 19x-13×11/13=46

=> 19x=46+11=57

=>x= 57/19=3.
