GIVEN:-

If 14 is subtracted from a number and multiplied by 7 gives the product as 98

TO FIND:-

The number

SOLUTION:-

Let the number be 'x'

If 14 is subtracted from the number then the number becomes (x - 14)

According to the Question,

 \implies \sf{(x - 14)7 = 98}

 \implies \sf{(x - 14) =  \frac{98}{7} }

 \implies \sf{(x - 14) = 14}

 \implies \sf{x = 14 + 14}

 \implies \sf \red{x = 28}

The Number is 28

VERIFICATION:-

By substituting the x as 28 in the equation,

 \implies \sf{(x - 14)7 = 98}

 \implies \sf{(28 - 14)7 = 98}

 \implies \sf{(14)7 = 98}

 \implies \sf{98 = 98}

 \implies \sf{LHS = RHS}
