Question :-

  • If 14 subtracted from 6 times a number is equal to the 4 times the sum of the number and 3, find the number

Answer :-

Let the number be 'x'.

According to the question;

14  - 6x= 4(3 - x)

 14  - 6x = 12 - 4x

 - 6x  + 4x = 12 - 14

 \cancel{ - }2x =   \cancel{- }2

2x = 2

x =   \cancel{\frac{2}{2} }

x = 1
