Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number be x then the ratio of new number to original number is 7:4 =>

 \frac{x + 144}{x} = \frac{7}{4} = > 4x + 576 = 7x = >

 = > 7x - 4x = 576 = > 3x = 576 = >

 = > x = 192

So the new number and original number are 336 and 192 respectively. Hope it helps you.
