Answer:

Given :-

If 15.0 liters of neon at 25.0 °C is allowed to expand to 45.0 liters

To Find :-

New temperature

Solution :-

We know that

0⁰ C = 273⁰ K

Volume/Temperature = Volume/Temperature

15/298 = 45/T

15 × T = 45 × 298

15T = 13,410

T = 13410/15

T = 894⁰ K

Now

0⁰ C = 273⁰ K

894⁰ K = 894 - 273 = 621⁰ C

Given:-

  • Volume of Neon ,V₁ = 15 l
  • Temperature ,T₁ = 25°C = 25×274.15° = 298.15
  • Volume ,V₂ = 45 l

To Find:-

New temperature to maintain constant pressure ,T₂

Solution:-

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀According to the Given Condition

It is given that the volume of neon (initial) 15 litres at 25°C is allowed to expand to 45 liters . We have to calculate the new temperature to be maintain constant pressure .

Using Charles Law

:\implies V₁/T₁ = V₂/T₂

Substitute the value we get

:\implies 15/298.15= 45/T₂

:\implies 15/298.15 = 45/T₂

:\implies T₂ = 45×298.15/15

:\implies T₂ = 3×298.15

:\implies T₂ = 894.45 K

Hence, the required temperature to maintain the constant pressure is 894.45 Kelvin.
