Let the number is x

It's successor is x +1


ATQ
15 +  {x}^{2}  = (x + 1) {}^{2}  - 6 \\  \\ 15 +  {x}^{2}  = {x}^{2} + 2  x  + 1- 6 \\  \\  2x - 5= 15 \\  \\ 2x = 15 + 5 \\  \\ x =  \frac{20}{2}  \\  \\ x = 10
So Number is 10
