SOLUTION:-

Given,

We have following 3 terms in A.P.

=) 15, k, -1

So,

Using formula of the Middle term:

Midde \: term = \frac{First \: term \: + \: Last \: term}{2} \\ \\ = > \frac{15 + ( - 1)}{2} = k \\ \\ = > \frac{15 - 1}{2} = k \\ \\ = > \frac{14}{2} = k \\ \\ = > 2k = 14 \\ \\ = > k = \frac{14}{2} \\ \\ = > k = 7.

Hope it helps ☺️
