Answer:

15 days will be required for 18 men to reap the field working 8 hours a day

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that 15 men working 9 hours a day can reap a field in 16 days

Total work = 15 \times 16 \times 9\hspace{0.1cm}man-hours

Let 18 men can working 8 hours a day can reap a field in x days

Total work = 18 \times x \times 8\hspace{0.1cm}man-hours

Work is same, thus we get

 18 \times x \times 8 = 15 \times 16 \times 9\\\\ x = \frac {15 \times 16 \times 9}{18 \times 8}\\\\ x = 15\hspace{0.1cm}days

Hence, 15 days will be required for 18 men to reap the field working 8 hours a day
