Let the 2nd number be x .
Acc. to the question ,
( 15% of 40 ) - ( 25% of x ) = 2
=> (15/100 * 40) - (25/100 * x) = 2
=> 6 - x/4 = 2
=> 4 = x/4
=> 16 = x (Ans)
