 Let \: a \: number \: be \: \pink {x} .

 Twice \: the \: number = 2x

 1.5 \: times \: of \: the \: number = 1.5x

/* According to the problem given */

 2x - 16 = 1.5x + 4

 \implies 2x - 1.5x = 4 + 16

 \implies 0.5x = 20

 \implies \frac{5x}{10} = 20

 \implies x = 20 \times \frac{10}{5}

 \implies x = 40

Therefore.,

 \red { Value \: of \: x } \green { = 40 }
