∴  cloth required to make 1 shirt = \frac{24}{16}   m=1.5 m

Hence, 1.5m cloth will be needed for one shirt.

From the question it is given that,

Cloth needed for making one shirt = 24/16 m of cloth

= 3/2m of cloth i.e. 1.5 m
