any number a , b , c are in G.P then

a/b = c/b =common ratio

now,
16 , x , 25 are in G.P
so ,

x/16 = 25/x

x² = 16 × 25

take square root both side

x = ± 20

A=16
A3=25
R=r (common ratio)
To be found x=a2
An=ar^n-1
A1=16 (1)
A3=16*r^2
A2/a1=a3/a2
By solving it we get r=5/4
By putting in a2
A2=16×5/4
A2=20

Anonymous: Plus or minus 20
