If 18, a, b, - 3 are in AP then find a + b

Answer:

18,A,B,-3

a=18

a4=-3

a+3d=-3

18+3d=-3

3d=-21

d= -7

A=a+d=18-7=11

B=a+2d=18-14=4

A+B=11+4=15
