If 18, a, b, -3 are in ap then find a + b

Here,

t1=18,t2=a,t3=b,t4=-3.

t4=t1+3d(common difference)

-3=18+3d

3d=-3-18

3d=-21

d=-21/3=-7.

value of a=18-7=11

b=11-7=4

a+b=11+4=15.
