As given length of one side of rectangular field is 40m anf its diagonal is 50m :-)

Now by Pythagoras thm.

Length of other side= √(50)^2 - (40)^2

=√(2500 - 1600)

= ✓900

= 30 m

Now as we know area of rectangle is=

Length×breadth..

Therefore, area of rectangular field=40 × 30

=1200meter square.
