no of mole = given weight / molecular weight
= 1/12

no of atoms in 1 g of carbon = mole × Avogadro's constant
= 1/12 × 6.023 × 10^23

in the same way ,

no of atoms in 1 g of magnesium = 1/24 × 6.023 × 10^23

hence, if you compare both of no of atoms then , you noticed that ,

no of carbon atoms = 2 × no of magnesium atoms

so, no of magnesium atoms in 1 g Mg = X/2

Number of moles of carbon in 1g of it
= 1/12 moles .
Number of atoms in 1mole = Avogadro's number = 6.022×10^23 .
=> Number of atoms in 1/12 moles of C is =( 1/12) × 6.022×10^23 = x .
__________
Number of moles in 1g Mg = 1/24 moles.
=> Number of atoms in 1/24 moles of Mg is = (1/24)×6.022×10^23.
on comparing ,
=> Number of atoms in 1/24 moles of Mg is = 0.5x
__________
hope it helps .
