2x +3y = k

when solution of the Linear equation is (2,0) , then x = 2 and y = 0

Substituting the values in equation

2 × 2 + 3 × 0 = k

4 +0 = k

k = 4

Hence proved

• For any co - ordinate to be the solution of linear equation , it must satisfy the linear equation .

• The points (2,0) are in the co-ordinate (x, y) , hence the first value gives the solution of x and second the solution of y .

• Linear equation are the one which have the maximum degree of polynomial 1 i.e. they have variables with power one .

• They may be in one variable , two variables , etc depending upon the number of variables present .
