root 8 = root 2^3 = root 2^2 * 2 = root 2 * root 2^2 = 2 root 2

root 50 = root 2 * 5^2 = root 2 * root 5^2 = 5 root 2

root 72 = 6 root 2 = root 2^3 * 3^2 = root 2 * root 2^2 * root 3^2 = 6 root 2

root 98 = root 2 * 7^2 = root 2 * root 7^2 = 7 root 2.

root 8 + root 50 + root 72 + root 98

= 2 root 2 + 5 root 2 + 6 root 2 + 7 root 2

= 2 * 1.414 + 5 * 1.414 + 6 * 1.414 + 7 * 1.414

= 28.284271. (or) 28.28
