The value of x is 12.5.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : If 2,5,x are in proportion.

To find : The value of 'x' ?

Solution :

If 2,5,x are in proportion i.e. 2:5:5:x

We know,

Product of extremes = Product of means

i.e. b^2=ac

Here, a=2, b=5 and c=x

Substitute,

5^2=2x

25=2x

x=\frac{25}{2}

x=12.5

Therefore, the value of x is 12.5.
