If 2 /7th of a certain sum was donated and 1/4th was spent on education. What is the balance amount?

Let total amount = x

Part of amount donated = 2x/7

Part of amount spent for education

= x/4

Balance amount = x - 2x/7 - x/4

= ( 28x -8x -7x ) 28

= 13x/28

Balance is 13/28th part of whole

amount.
