If 2,8,6 and x are in proportion then find the value of x

If 2 , 8 , 6 and x are in proportion then we can say that :

2 : 8 = 6 : x

As , Product of means = Product of extremes

Here 2 , 8 are means and 6 , x are the extremes .

2 / 8 = 6 / x

2x = 48

x = 24
