cos + sec = 5/2

(cos + sec )^2 = 25/4

cos sq + sec sq + 2cos sec = 25/4

cos sq + sec sq + 2 cos ( 1/ cos) = 25/4

cos sq + sec sq + 2 = 25/4

cos sq + sec sq = 25/4 - 2

= (25-8)/4

= 18/4 = 9/2

the answer is 9/2 or 4.5
