2x2+3x-2=0

(2x-1)(x+2)=0

(2cosx-1)(cosx+2)=0

2cosx-1=0

2cosx=1

Cosx=1/2

Substitute back,

\cos\theta=\frac{1}{2}

\cos\theta=-2 but it is not possible as cos x value lie between -1 and 1.

Therefore, \cos\theta=\frac{1}{2}
