Given-

cost of 2 dozens banana = Rs.80

To Find-

dozens of banana bought for Rs.60

Solution-

For Rs. 80 , the number of dozen of bananas bought = 2

For Re. 1 , the the number of dozen of bananas bought = 2/80

∴For Rs. 60 , the number of dozen of bananas bought = 2/80 * 60

                                                                                           = 1.5

1 dozen = 12 units.

∴1.5 dozen = 18 units

hence, the number of bananas bought for Rs.60 is 18 .

the sum is solved following the unitary method.

it is a technique of finding the unknown value by finding the value of a single unit and then multiplying it with the given value.
