g(z) = pz²-3(p-1)z -1
g(2) = p2²-3(p-1)2-1
0 = 4p - 3(2p-2)-1
0 = 4p - 6p+6 -1
0= -2p +5
-5= -2p
5= 2p
p= 5/2

g(z)=pz²-3(p-1)z-1
g(z)=0
Zero of the polynomial is 2
g(2)=0

pz²-3(p-1)z-1=0
p(2)²-3(p-1)2-1=0
4p-3(2p-2)-1=0
4p-6p+6-1=0
-2p+5=0
-2p= -5
2p=5
p=5/2

hope it helps
