If 2 is a zero of the polynomial 4y^2-6y-k, find the value of k. Aso find the other zero. Please answer me fast as there is urgency!!!

Given that 2 is a zero of the polynomial. f(2) = 0.

= > 4(2)^2 - 6(2) - k = 0

= > 16 - 12 - k = 0

= > 4 - k = 0

= > k = 4.

Therefore the value of k = 4.

Now,

We need to Substitute the value of k in the given equation.

= > 4y^2 - 6y - k = 0

= > 4y^2 - 8y + 2y - 4 = 0

= > 4y(y - 2) + 2(y - 2) = 0

= > (4y + 2)(y - 2) = 0

= > y = -1/2, y = 2.


Therefore the other zero is -1/2.
