Let the fraction be x/y, so

x + 2 / y = 1/2

which gives x + 2 = y/2

2x + 4 = y

2x - y = -4......(1)

Now, we have

x / y - 1 = 1/3

Cross multiplying we get,

3x = y - 1

3x - y = -1..... (2)

Solving (1) and (2) we get,

x = -1 + 4 = 3

So 3(3) - y = -1

9 - y = -1

y = 10

Our fraction is 3/10.
