Fraction will be x/y = 3/10

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the numerator and y the denominator.

Fraction will be x/y.

Given:

(x + 2) / y = 1/2

2x - y = -4 -------------(1)

x / (y-1) = 1/3

 3x - y = -1 -------------(2)

Subtracting (2) from (1), we get: -x = -3

Therefore x = +3

Substituting in x = 3 equation 1, we get 6 - y = -4

Therefore y = 10

Hence solved. x = 3, y = 10

So the fraction will be x/y = 3/10.
