let the numerator even x and denominator be y

a/q

x-2/y+1=1

x-2=y+1,(by cross multiplication)

x-y=-3. (1)

second case

x+14/y-3=3

x+14=3y-9(by cross multiplication)

x-3y=-23. (2)

equate 1&2

x-y=-3

x-3y=-23(by elimination method)

2y=20

y=10

put in 1 equation

x-(-10)=-3

x+10=-3

x=-13
