Answer:

p-q=(-4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

AP:-2,p,6,q where a=2.

To Find:-

The value of p-q.

Formula Applied:-

a_n = a + (n - 1) \times d

Solution:-

a = 2 \: and \: a_3 = 6

a_3 = 6

6 = a + (3 - 1) \times d

6 = 2 + 2d

6 - 2 = 2d

4 = 2d

d =  \frac{4}{2}

d = 2

a_2 = p

p = a + (2 -1 ) \times d

p = 2 + 2

p = 4

a_4 = q

q = a + (4 - 1) \times d

q = 2 + (3) \times (2)

q = 2 + 6

q = 8

Now we have to find p-q,

→p-q=4-8

→p-q=(-4)
