Well, here you need just to replace the letter (x) for 2 and if you make it you have the solution of the unknown value (r) see the resolution in the practice.

2x + r = 7

2(2) + r = 7

4 + r = 7

r = 7 - 4

r = 3

Therefore, we have that the solution of the unknown value of (r) is 3. So, we have that (2,r) = (2,3).
