ANSWER :

GIVEN THAT :

= Sin x = 3/2

= x = 60

To find :

(1) 4 sin³ x - 3 sin x

(2) 3 cos x - 4 cos³ x

SOLUTION :

(1) WE KNOW THAT

sin (3x) = 3 sin x - 4 sin³ x

so , that

=> 4 sin³ x - 3 sin x = - sin ( 3x )

= - sin (3x)

= - sin (3 × 60)

= - sin (180)

= 0

(2) we know that

cos (3x) = 4 cos³ (x) - 3 cos (x)

so , that

=> 3 cos x - 4 cos³ x = - cos(3x)

= - cos (3x)

= - cos ( 3 × 60)

= - cos (180)

= -(-1)

= 1
