If 2^x=3^-x then what is the value of x

Yuichiro13: Well yeah !! You can write that :

2^x is monotonically increasing while 3^-x follows an opposite case
Hence, there's just one time they're gonna meet !! At x = 0

 {2}^{x} = {3}^{ - x} \\ {2}^{x} = \frac{1}{ {3}^{x} } \\ {2}^{x} \times {3}^{x} = 1 \\ {(2 \times 3)}^{x} = 1 \\ {6}^{x} = 1 \\ {6}^{x} = {6}^{0} \\ x = 0
Therefore x =0.
