See we have

2/x +3/y = 10...(i)

2/x - 3/y = 10...(ii)

Subtract ii from I

2/x + 3/y - (2/x - 3/y ) = 8

2/x + 3/y - 2x + 3/y = 8

6/y = 8

y = 3/4

Now putting y in (i) we have

2/x + 4 = 10

So 2/x = 10 - 4

=> 6x = 2

=> x = 1/3

Therefore x = 1/3
