if 2 X + 3 Y is equal to 14 and 2x - 3 Y is equal to 2 find x y

manishpatel021220: 2x+3y=14        -(1)

2x-3y=02         -(2)

subtract 2 frm 1...we get

6y=12
therefore,y=2
put value of y in 1 ....we get x=4

therefore the value of xy=2*4=8

[0010001111]... Hello User... [1001010101]
Here's your answer...

2x+3y = 14
2x-3y = 2

Adding the two equations...

2x+3y+2x-3y = 14+2
4x = 16
x = 4

Substituting x's value in the given equation...

2×4 + 3y = 14
3y = 14-8 = 6
y = 2

x = 4, y = 2
