so, x-y=  -74/9

i)20+3y=7

=>3y=7-20

=>y=-13/3

ii)3x+2y=3

=>3x+2*-13/3=3

=>3x-26/3=3

=>3x=3+26/3

=>3x=9+26/3

=>3x=35/3

=>x=35/9

then,

x-y=?

-13/3-35/9

=>-39-35/9

=>-74/9

Answer:

74/9

Step-by-step explanation:

• 20+3y = 7

3y = 7-20

3y = -13

y = -13/3

• 3x+2y = 3

3x+2(-13/3) = 3

3x+(-26/3) = 3

3x-26/3 = 3

3x = 3+26/3

3x = 9/3 + 26/3

3x = 35/3

x = 35/3×3

x = 35/9

‐-> So, x = 35/9.

y = -13/3

x - y

= 35/9 - (-13/3)

= 35/9 + 13/3

= 35/9

= 74/9
