conc of mix =( M1V1+M2V2)(V1+V2)
= (5×20+10×360)/(20+360)
=(100+3600)/(380)
=(3700)/(380)
=370/38
= 9.73

Answer:

The concentration of the mixture will be 9.7368M.

Explanation:

Volume of 5M solution = 20 ml

Millimoles of 5M solution = 5 × 20 = 100 mmoles

Volume of 10M solution = 360 ml

Millimoles of 10M solution = 10 × 360 = 3600 mmoles

Now,

Total volume of acid = 20 + 360 = 380 ml

Total millimoles of acid = 100 + 3600 = 3700 mmoles

Concentration of acid = \frac{millimoles}{Total \ volume}

Concentration of mixture = \frac{3700}{380} = 9.7368M

Therefore, concentration of mixture will be 9.7368M.
