For 300 bananas selling at the rate of Rs.30 per 20 bananas, the the price the vendor would get=(30/20)x300=Rs.450

After throwing away 80 bananas:-

Bananas left=220

10 dozens=120 bananas were sold at the price of Rs. 25 per dozen

So the price he will get=10x25=Rs.250

And the remaining (100) bananas were sold at the price of Rs.50 per banana (though anyone won't buy at such high price)

So the price he will get=100x50=Rs.5000

Total price he will get from 220 bananas=250+5000=Rs.5250

Therefore, the percentage of profit=(5250-450)/450 x100%=1066%

Which is the answer.

But I think there is something wrong with the question. The last one should be Rs.50 per dozen.

Thanks.
