Given : If 220 gram of copper sulphate is present in 550 gram of solution.

To find : Calculate the concentration of solution?

Applying formula :

1) Mass of solution = Mass of solute + Mass of solvent.

2) Mass percentage = Mass of solute/Mass of solution × 100.

Calculations :

→ Mass of solution = 220 + 550

→ Mass of solution = 770

→ Mass percentage = 220/770 × 100

→ Mass percentage = 0.28 × 100

→ Mass percentage = 28%

Therefore, 28% is the mass percentage of the solution.
