Given :- If 24 labour can dig a trench in 18 days by per 7 hours working per day, how many labour required to digging just double pit in 16 days by 9 hours working per day ?

Solution :-

given that,

  • M1 = 24 labour
  • D1 = 18 days .
  • W1 = 1 pit
  • H1 = 7 hours .
  • M2 = Let x labour .
  • D2 = 16 days.
  • H2 = 9 hours .
  • W2 = 2 pit (double.)

we know that,

  • (M1 * D1 * H1)/W1 = (M2 * D2 * H2)/W2
  • work is inversely proportional .

so, putting values we get,

→ 24 * 18 * 7 * 2 = x * 16 * 9 * 1

→ 3 * 2 * 7 = x

→ x = 42 labours (Ans.)
