no of men and no of days are in inverse proportion

x1y1 = x2y2

24 * 16 = x2 * 12

x2 = 24 *16/12

x2 = 32

it is  case of  inverse proportion  because when number of men increase then number of days will decrease

then,

let x1 24 men

let y1=16 days

let x2=  number of  men that we don't know

let y2 = 12 days

                             ATP

x1y1=x2y2

24 x16 = x2 x 12

24x16/12=x2

32 men =x2

hence 32 men need to work in 12 days
