if a, b and c are in continued-proportion, then

a,b,b,c are in proportion, that means a:b::b:c ...

⇒ Product of extremes = Product of means

⇒ a x c = b x b

⇒ a x c = b²

it is given that 25 , 35 and x are in continued proportion ,

Than ,

→ 25:35::35:x

→ 25 × x = (35)²

→ x = (35×35)/25

→ x = 49 .

Hence, value of x will be 49..
